4000 KM on bicycle to raise awareness on cancer

Tom Kelly (62) who started to ride from the UK to raise awareness on cancer, finished his 4000 km challenging journey in Fethiye. Following the route of İzmir, Kuşadası and Milas, he reached Muğla and Fethiye as his final stop. He was welcomed by local cyclists who pedalled alongside as far the Fethiye Evi where Tom was greeted by the Council’s Band. FIG, FETAV and UK Honorary Consul Mustafa Şıkman were also present at welcoming ceremony. In his speech, Tom Kelly thanked everyone who has shown their support along the way and he was very happy to finish the journey in his second home Fethiye. “When I set out from England on April 10, I did not expect this much attention. But today, I saw here that I’m doing the right thing.”
After the ceremony in front of Fethiye Evi, Ölüdeniz Yarenler performed Turkish folkloric dances.
