9th of 112 emergency stations was opened
9th of 112 Emergency Stations in Fethiye was opened in Ölüdeniz. The station which will eliminate the 15 kilometers distance between Ölüdeniz and Fethiye in case of an emergency, opened with a ceremony. Ak Party Muğla Deputy Ali Boğa, CHP Deputy Nurettin Demir, Ak Parti Manisa Deputy Recai Berber and Ak Party Kütahya Deputy İdris Bal were present at the ceremony, together with Ölüdeniz Mayor Keramettin Yılmaz and Fethiye President of Health Group Banu Mumcu.
In his speech, Muğla CHP Deputy Nurettin Demir said that they were very happy that investments in health accelerated, even if a small amount. He stated that although there are good things in the health field, violence against medics are on the rise. “Violence against health workers is very upsetting. From this point, we are preparing a proposal to investigate the causes of violence. We will present the proposal to Parliament as soon as possible.” Ak Party Muğla Deputy Ali Boğa said the goal of Ministry of Health is to deliver the first aid to the patient in 10 minutes, and that’s what they are trying to. He said “The waste of time during transportation between Ölüdeniz and Fethiye will be eliminated with the new station. The population of the town is growing exponentially before the tourist season and timely response to health problems is a great need.”
After the ceremony, the station was opened.
9th Emergency Station in Fethiye
With the opening of the station, the number of the emergency stations in Fethiye was raised to 9. An ambulance with two nurses, five emergency medical technicians and 4 drivers will serve in the station, and accidents that will happen at Babadağ will also be treated by these paramedics.
