British Consulate the Aegean and the South Caucasus Parts Manager Simon Horner held talks with the consuls and administrators in Turkey, and pointed out that a small decline between Turkey and Great Britain can be experienced in the tourism market. Simon Horner visited Fethiye Governor Mehmet Ali Karatekeli together with Mustafa Şıkman, British Honorary Consul in Fethiye. In his press speech Horner said “Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and the Caucasus countries are in my area of responsibility. I came to Turkey to meet with our seven consuls. Most complaints received are health and public order. We try to be helpful in solving them as much as possible.”
He made market assessments of the tourism season of 2012 between Britain-Turkey saying “I’m not an expert in this field, however, according to interviews with tour operators we do expect a small decline, but there is also nothing specific.”
