Famous Painters Meet in Fethiye
The 1st International Art Days Painting Workshop participated by 30 painters from several countries has brought great attention to Ölüdeniz. Painters from Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Belarus and Balkan countries as well as Turkey came to Fethiye. The pictures will be displayed in Ölüdeniz and delivered to the Municipality of Ölüdeniz. Ölüdeniz Mayor Keramettin Yılmaz who visited to see the painting works himself at Ölüdeniz Arthouse was welcomed with great enthusiasm and artists thanked the Mayor for his supports. Assistant Prof.Dr. Orhan Cebrayiloğlu from the Fine Arts Faculty of Selçuk University made a speech on behalf of the artists: “30 painters who are the bests of their countries have participated in the 1st International Ölüdeniz Art Days between June 22 and 30, 2013. We are very happy to be in Ölüdeniz. Accommodations and services are the best. We appreciate Ölüdeniz Mayor Keramettin Yılmaz for his supports. We hope this kind of artworks will carry on. Those who appreciate art will find their places in history. In this sense, the contributions of Mr.Yılmaz will not be forgotten and we hope he will be remembered in the best way in the future. I would like to thank on behalf of all painters participating the workshop.”
Keramettin Yılmaz stated that he was delighted to be a part of such a big project and said, “I would like to welcome all artists coming from several countries including Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait to the workshop. We are trying to welcome them the best way. I hope we have made them happy. Their artworks will be displayed in Ölüdeniz and introduced by press. I would like to thank everyone who has taken part of this project bringing great contribution to the introducing of our region. Our support to art and cultural events will always continue.” Artists carrying out their artworks in the garden of Ölüdeniz Arthouse visited the best places of Ölüdeniz and Fethiye to reflect them on their art and returned their countries on June 30 after introducing their artworks in an exhibition.
