Fethiye Meditation Group
Following repair work after the floods we are now able to meet again at the Sundial Hotel Tasyaka. Thank you to the ‘Sun Camp’ Koca Çalış for having us for the last 2 months. We wish Murat at the Sun Dial well for the 2012 season and thank him for having us back there.
The next meeting will be Saturday 30thApril, 10.30 am.
Our meditation group appears to usually run at 11 -12 attending, although not always the same people. A routine has also now developed with us meeting for drinks and chat, then commencing with stretching exercises, Qi Gong (as seen in the photo above) then a guided meditation which also offers healing to those in need and the earth. We also share ideas, information from interesting books or articles and usually continue our discussions over a light lunch.
The group includes some new to meditation, and others very experienced. We sit on chairs for our guided meditation, but any who wish to sit in the lotus position are free to do so. (No one has yet!) At the last meeting we also learnt and practiced Hatsu Rei Ho, an energy increasing exercise that helps expand our energy in our tan den, the energy centre 3cm below the navel and a third of the way into the body. We can then send this energy anywhere we wish to, out into the universe or various areas of our body and use it for healing ourselves and others. Ray discussed the benefits of standing in the Wu Chi position, we practiced this and handouts were given for both Hatsu Rei Ho and the Wu Chi position.
In June (date to be confirmed) we plan to offer a day’s workshop up in the mountains above Yaka Park with a much longer Qi Gong session, meditation in the forest, a chance to practice dowsing, and an hour’s workshop on learning how to use EFT (Emotional Freedom technique) to improve our own health. Other topics are being considered too. This day is free, but everyone will need to bring food to share with them.
For any information about the meditation group please do contact me. We are very friendly and welcome newcomers.
