Fethiye State Hospital Opens MRI Center
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) center which is one of the most needy units was opened with a ceremony at Fethiye State Hospital, serving as a district hospital and providing health care for Fethiye and the surrounding units.
The MRI Center was established in the hospital with service procurement method and AK Party Muğla deputies Ali Boğa and Yüksel Özden, CHP Muğla deputy Nurettin Demir, Fethiye Community Health Center Responsible Physician Dr. Neslihan Banu Mumcu, hospital management and the AK Party of Fethiye District Organization management attended the opening ceremony. The MR center which will be served by Net MR firm based in Antalya, has the capacity to serve 40 patients per day with a technician and a nurse. Before the opening, Fethiye State Hospital Chief Op. Dr. Birol Durukan provided information about the center, “We brought a modern and technological device to our hospital. Currently the trial and the test shots are completed, and it is in use actively. Today, we do have our official opening. Approximately, 40 MRI is shot a day. According to the capacity of our hospital and our region, we can change our model of service in the coming years. This unit is currently adequate and meets 95 percent of our needs. Previously, we had to direct our patients to other places. Now we are offering this service to our patients as soon as possible.”
