German Agencies Pessimistic
GfK research results report that German travel agencies are pessimistic due to the low sale statistics registered last month and uncertainties for the next season.
According to the results announced by GfK, holiday bookings in September decreased 1.1 % than the same time last year. Given the 13 % increase registered on September 2014, it is not a very bad result, indicates GfK and states, there is 3.6 % decrease in last minute bookings. The firm also reports that there is 6.2 % increase in tourism sector in summer 2015 than last year despite the decline in September.
2 % decrease is reported in winter reservations. On the other hand, the cumulative sales have increased 7.4 %. These decreases observed in September sales cause German tour operators to be pessimistic for the next season. The level of trust which was recorded 102 last month has reached the lowest level since July 2014 and recorded 95.
