Kaş Gets a New State Hospital
The new State Hospital has been completed in Kaş District in Antalya and the new building is ready to service. The number of beds in Kaş Public Hospital has been increased from 25 to 52.
For the requirement of a new hospital with better physical conditions and technical equipment, the new building of Kaş State Hospital has been completed and started service. The new hospital is situated on an area of 15.300 m2 with sea view on the road between Kaş and Kalkan; it offers 52 beds and has 3 floors and 2 blocks. 9 expert doctors are on duty at the new state hospital. 2 of them are general surgeons, 2 specialists of internal diseases, 1 paediatrician, 1 gynaecologist, 1 physical therapist, 1 anaesthetist and 1 dermatologist provide medical service. 4 general practitioners work in the emergency service as well. The hospital also offers 3 surgery rooms with one childbirth unit.
Kaş State Hospital Head Physician Expert Dr. Hüseyin Cahit Ülker explained a dialyzer unit would be brought to the hospital soon. Ülker advised patients who need medical treatment to come to the new State Hospital of Kaş on the road between Kaş and Kalkan instead of the old hospital building.
