British citizen Kathleen Patricia Kingston who donated her organs in Fethiye, Muğla was buried in Fethiye to fulfill her last will.

The liver and two kidneys of British woman Kathleen Patricia Kingston who died as a result of brain hemorrhage at Fethiye Private Letoon Hospital were transplanted to three Turkish citizens.

Her husband Charles Kingston, granddaughter Jodie Öner and son-in-law Cenk Öner decided to bury her in Turkey, which she said her second home. In Kathleen Patricia Kingston’s funeral, both priest Mary Cavla and imam Ramazan Boztaş prayed. As imam Boztaş performed grave prayer, her relatives and friends burst into tears.

Fethiye Organ Donation Coordinator Dr. Uğur Çomak also attended the funeral. After the funeral, Kenneth Kingston said “My wife Patricia saved three lives with her organs and now she’s living in them. We lost her in a very short time. She regarded Turkey as her second home and she wanted to be buried here. I’m sure she’s happy now. Right now, there is a concurrent funeral in UK. I will follow her steps. When I die, I want to be buried next to her.”
