DATÇA WOMEN SHOWED GREAT INTEREST IN “WOMEN’S CAFE” OPENED IN DATÇA, MUĞLA.

A women’s cafe was opened in Datça, Muğla by two women entrepreneurs. Datça women now go to “Nazar Cafe” instead of neighbour visits as soon as they finish their housework.

At the cafe run by Funda Mumcu and Özden Badal, the women spend their time chatting and playing games as they sip their teas. They organize mantı, köfte or kısır parties from time to time and men are not allowed in this cafe.

Cafe owners Funda Mumcu and Özden Badal said “We aimed to fulfill a need in Datça. Women were complaining about staying home all day long. They did not have a place to come together. This was also our own problem. So, we thought what we could do and decided to open this womens cafe. From now on, our women will have the opportunity to do their handworks, or read their books, or play games while sitting and chatting here. They will no longer complain about boredom. We hope to be succesful.”
