Parachute Pilot Flies a Dog in Nepal
After the closing of paragliding season in Fethiye, 28 year old paragliding pilot Hakan Akdere went to Nepal and made his Australian client Yohan Mori and his dog Twiksee enjoy the paragliding. The jump at Pokhara of Nepal was carried out from the 1600 high Sarangkot Hill at the foothills of Himalaya on March 20. After the closing of paragliding season in Fethiye, 28 year old paragliding pilot Hakan Akdere went to Nepal and accepted the flight offer of Australian Yohan Mori with his dog. 1.5 year old “Irish wolfhound” which was found in the forest area in the foothills of Himalayas and domesticated while it was a puppy enjoyed paragliding with its owner Yohan Mori and pilot Hakan Akdere.
THE FEAR OF THE DOG NOT LAST LONG
The flight over Pewa Lake of Pokhara lasted nearly 20 minutes. Twiksee was very scared of flying at the first minutes of the flight but then it started watching the sky and the view. Twiksee was roped up with special equipments to the parachute against the danger of falling and its owner hugged it.
‘ON CONDITION NOT TO PUT ANIMALS IN DANGER’
Hakan Akdere told the details on his return to Turkey and said it was quite an experience to fly a dog. Akdere explained he accepted the offers of his clients on condition not to put animals in danger and the flight was quite safe both for his client and his dog. FG)
