Chief Prosecutor Ergün Tokgöz opened the files of 19 murders occured in Fethiye and surrounding pending in the unsolved, and started a re-investigation. Files of Salih Teksen, H. Korkmaz in 1993, Kemal Küçük from Kargı village in 1995, Yadigar Küçükçakıcı from Çengel village, Durmuş Zorlu in central Fethiye in 1996, İbrahim Acar in Bayır village in 1997, Süleyman Dobra in Esenköy in 1998, Şener Demirt in Karaçulha in 1999, Mülazım Demir in Sarıyer village in 2000, Dudu Şimşirin 2001 and Metin Güvenç in Kabaağaç village, Mustafa Dereli in central Fethiye, an unknown person at Boncuklu Cove in 2002, another unknown person dirfted ashore at Kumluova in 2004, another one at Karaçulha drown in a power plant pool, UK citizen John Anthony Cannon stabbed in Akarca, Hatice Çetin in 2007, Süleyman Akyurt found dead at Kabak Cove in 2009, and Asım Dağlı and Mustafa Kökçü shot at a gas station in Karaçulha were re-opened.
