The decline in Muğla slows down

The number of the tourists in the first nine months of the year continues to rise while the decline of the number of the tourists slowed down in Mediterranean and Aegean Region. The number of the tourists that come to Turkey in the first nine months of the year has risen 1%. In this period, the decline of the number of the tourists in Antalya, İzmir and Muğla has slowed down to 1% while the rise of İstanbul continues with 16,55 %. According to the analyses made, Antalya has undertaken a process of closing the year without any loss as its fall slows down in September, while İstanbul continues its tendency to rise since the beginning of the year. From January to September, the number of the foreign tourist that have come to Antalya has fallen down 1,5 % to 8,868,000. In the same period, İstanbul has risen over 7,000,000 with an increase of 16,5 %. The large-scale loss of Muğla and İzmir has slowed down. In this nine-months-period, Muğla has attracted 2.7 million visitors despite a decline of 1,55 % and İzmir remained on the level of 1,1 million because of its 0,4% decline.
