We have no limits for 13 years!
Fethiye Council Works As a Metropolitan Municipality!
Fethiye Council keeps working without a break. In recent months, they covered up the deficiencies at schools, mosques and cemeteries of 7 villages. The Council continues to support the desires and demands from surrounding towns, villages and institutions regardless of distance. Recently, they extended a hand to help Çaykenarı Elementary School which is approximately 41 Km away from Fethiye. It is almost a tradition for Fethiye Council to help not only in neighboring areas, but also outside the boundaries for 13 years. The council provided supplies and equipment for the school’s two projects “7/4 School = LIFE” and “Let’s Not Waste Our Future, But Recover”. In order to support these projects, and to provide contininuity, Fethiye Council supplied a Recycling Cafe, 1 x 4-waste recycling unit, 5 pieces of indoor recycling bin, 3 benches, 90 meters curbstone and seasonal flowers. Çaykenarı Elementary School Principal Ali Öğütveren said “We try to resolve the shortcomings of of our projects within the context of Ministry of Education projects. Our surveys revealed that the students asked for a playground. FETAV, Fethiye Council and Department of Water Affairs and Forestry support our playground project. With this playground, We aim to make our school a center of attraction outside school hours, too. Our Playground will be the first step of our “7/24 School = LIFE” project that we have developed for the benefit of everybody; elderly, youth and children, at the highest level. We had a meeting with the council regarding our project, and thanks to them, they promised to provide necessary equipment and supplies for landscaping. And today, a Recycling Cafe, 1 x 4-waste recycling unit, 5 pieces of indoor recycling bin, 3 benches, 90 meters curbstone and seasonal flowers were delivered by Fethiye Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Directorate. Besides, we will raise ecological awareness in students and their parents with the recycling bins gifted by the council. I am thankful to Fethiye Council for their contribution, by doing their best for our children.”
