Yarenler are desirious for Eurovision
Famous British band Yarenler in Fethiye announced that they want to participate in Eurovision song contest with a Turkish song. This year, Eurovision song contest is host by Azarbaijan in the capital city of Baku, and Russia is in the contest with a band of nanas which gives hope to Ölüdeniz Yarenler.
Ölüdeniz Yarenler is a band formed by British citizens living in Fethiye and they announced that they are willing to represent Turkey in 2013 Eurovision song contest. Members of the band said they could do this if Buranovskiye Babushki (Nanas of Buranovo) of Russia can do this year in Baku. Nowadays, they are working on their Turkish songs repertoir and almost ready for Turkey tour. They said they can compose a brand new Turkish song for the contest if they are asked for. Yarenler is a 5-member band aged between 60 to 70. British David Groom, a member of the band, said the Russian band is too old and Yarenler is a lot younger and can perform much better. Ölüdeniz mayor keramettin Yılmaz said that Yarenler represented Turkey both in Europe and across the country in their best way. Yılmaz said “They want to perform Kiziroğlu Mustafa Bey in the contest, and I believe they will be very successful. We will give all our support as Ölüdeniz Council, and hopefully send them to Eurovision in 2013.”
