58 Illegal Immigrants were Almost Escaping Abroad

58 Syrian illegal immigrants who were trying to escape to Greece were caught near Fethiye. 58 immigrants including 2 babies were on a sailing boat (12m) and caught by the Coast Guard Security causing no disaster.

The Coast Guard Security stopped a sailing type recreational boat on suspicion as they were patrolling at a distance of 3 miles from the Red Islands, 20 miles ahead Gulf Fethiye. 58 Syrian immigrants including 17 children and 2 babies who were found on the boat were trying to cross the Rhodes Island in Greece, it is reported.

Illegal immigrants in lifesavers were taken to boat 65 of the Coast Guard. The immigrants were offered juice and cake on the boat of the Coast Guard. Syrian refugees taken to Fethiye State Hospital by the vehicles of the Coast Guard and gendarmerie were brought back to the Coast Guard Command after their medical reports were given.
