71-year-old English tourist Stephen Parmenter who came to Fethiye for holiday jumped from the 700 m. take off at Babadağ. Stephen Parmenter who lives in Manchester, UK lost his left leg 10 years ago because of a disease. Parmenter,using prosthetic leg and walking with the aid of crutches, came to Fethiye 10 days ago and wanted to paraglide in Ölüdeniz. At 10 o’clock in the morning, he made a tandem jump from 700 m. take off at Babadağ. In his flight, Halil Büyükçoban from Focus paragliding company accompanied him. Parmenter who could hardly walk had a smooth flight without any problems. After a 30 minutes flight, they landed on Belcekız Beach and welcomed by Jay Parmender (69), his wife. Parmender, who could land with the help of two pilots was the center of attraction at the beach. The man said he had lost his left leg 10 years ago, and now he had the same problem on his right leg, but enjoyed flying very much. “It was a nice and smooth jump. It’s a great feeling to be in the air. I recommend everyone to enjoy this happiness.”
