In a joint operation by Fethiye Anti-smuggling and Organised Crime Squad and Marmaris Coast Guard, a total of 523,000 packets of black market cigarettes worth 3 million Turkish Lira have been revealed in the search of a luxury yacht that was anchored at Ölüdeniz. Fethiye Coast Guard involved in the operation found 5 people on the 33 m American flagged yacht named Jaguar from Delaware port.. Muğla Police Chief Kadir Ay told reporters that they had been working a joint operation together with police in Adana where the yacht was first seen. She made her way to Fethiye where she was seen to pull alongside a ship. It was here that she was loaded with the cigarettes before making her way back to Fethiye. Coastguard boats 310 and 83 boarded the vessel off the coast at Ölüdeniz . Captain Galip T. a man named C.A. and some 3 people were arrested. İbrahim Saffet Koçer Fethiye Police Chief was on the scene. Investigation continues.
