They want to become Turkish citizens first and then represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Constest

The English Band, Ölüdeniz Yarenleri, that have settled down in Turkey and sing Turkish songs without knowing Turkish, have applied for citizenship of Turkey. They are going to apply to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest with a Turkish song and they are very ambitious.
Ölüdeniz Yarenleri that want to represent Turkey with the song “Kiziroğlu Mustafa Bey” in the Eurovision Song Contest next year are admired very much.
To the Eurovision Song Contest that was held in Azerbaijani, a band of grandmothers from Russia, joined and this gave hope to Yarenler Band from Ölüdeniz. Being composed of five English people between the ages of 60 to70 and admired very much, the Yarenler Band, have announced that they want to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. They have stated that The Russian band, called Buranovskiye Babushki, joined the contest last year and this gave hope to them. Yarenler who are getting prepared for the contest with the new songs they are adding to their repertoire, remarked that they can compose a song for the contest if it is required.
One of the members of the band, David Groom, said that the members of the Russian group were very old and that is why they see no drawbacks in joining the contest. Groom who emphasized that they wanted to join the contest with the song “Kiziroğlu Mustafa Bey”, said that apart from the folk songs they sing, they can even compose a Turkish song.
The mayor of Ölüdeniz, Keramettin Yılmaz, pointed out that Yarenler represents Ölüdeniz both at home and abroad. Keramettin Yılmaz who reported that Yarenler wanted to join the Eurvision Song Contest with the song “Kiziroğlu Mustafa Bey” added “It is very meaningful for them to join the contest with a Turkish song as Turkey has been joining the contest with English songs for a few years. We are going to give any kind of support to them. I hope we send them to the contest next year.”
In the explanation he made, a member of the band, David Groom, who he has been living in Ölüdeniz and he wants to experience the honour of becoming a Turkish citizen stated that he, himself and his friends from the band, GennyLewington, ShirleyVaughan ve Stuart James applied to Muğla Governorate Citizenship Directory to become Turkish citizens, and added “I and my friends are going to become Turkish citizens. We love Turkey and Turkish culture. Turkey is my sweetheart. It is going to be a great pleasure to be mentioned as a singer from Ölüdeniz in Turkey.”
It is reported that if they are accepted for the citizenship, David Groom is going to have the name Davut Yıldız and Shirley Vaughan is going to have the name Meltem, and the other members of the band have applied to have the names Ali and Ayşe.
