Enver Yalçın, who keeps donkey at his farm in Fethiye and supplies milk, said he sent donkey milk to all over of Turkey due to great enthusiasm with the claims that donkey milk is good for several diseases including asthma, bronchitis and some cancer forms. Enver Yalçın, who is also the owner of the Yoruk Museum in Kargı Village, has opened a farm for donkey milk. Yalçın explained they put the donkey milk into special flasks to send it to the ordered addresses by shipping and said, “We have been sending daily donkey milk to many cities from İstanbul to Malatya and from Eskişehir to Kars.” Yalçın explained they sent donkey milk with prices between 80 and 100 TL including flask and shipping prices to buyers and added, “As scientists and doctors recommend the donkey milk for asthma, bronchitis, cancer and other diseases in recent years, it has started to attract great attention. There is so much enthusiasm to donkey milk that we are having difficulty in supplying milk for everyone. At least 10 people call us every day to order donkey milk. In order to cover the increasing demands, we are trying to increase the number of donkeys as best as we can. We ask very little money from our citizens ordering donkey milk for the price of the hay for donkey and flasks. We ask 80-100 TL for one litre of milk. A cup of donkey milk is enough for a patient with asthma. So, one or two litres of donkey milk will be enough for a person.” (FG)
